The facilities are similar to a motel, unless you are staying in one of the available cabins. The rooms are heated and air-conditioned and should be adequately comfortable to you. Bed linens and towels and washcloths are furnished for the motel-style rooms; you provide your own linens and towels if you stay in a cabin. Three meals a day are served buffet-style and are included in the fees. You will want to bring your Bible, personal-care items, walking shoes, perhaps a jacket, and a flashlight.
There is a pool; no lifeguard is available at any time. Weather in late October generally precludes swimming, but it is not prohibited. If you wish to swim, bring bathing suit(s), swimming towels, and other appropriate accessories. Please do not even consider swimming alone.
Attire should be comfortable, casual, and conservative. Shorts and sandals are permitted; the weather is generally cool, and you may prefer slacks, long-sleeve shirts, and sweaters. No bathing suits or bare feet are allowed in the dining hall. You are encouraged to bring a musical instrument with which you have some measure of proficiency. Bicycles are available for rental, and there are acres of land on which to walk for recreation.
Virtually all accommodations and meeting rooms are at ground level. Unless you decide to go on a nature hike, the distances between the lodging rooms, cafeteria, chapel, and activity rooms are relatively short.
