CFO stands for Camps Farthest Out. The Golden Isles CFO Retreat meets once a year in the fall, usually at the end of October. Our 2013 retreat began with supper on Thursday, October 3, at Honey Creek (Honey Creek) near Brunswick, Georgia, and finished before lunch on Sunday, October 6.  Our speakers for 2013 were Ramon and Carol Babilonia, evangelists to Columbia, and Linda Sommer, Christian author and internationally known speaker.  Talks at the 2013 Retreat were recorded and can be accessed on the Media Resources page.  Praise and worship were led by Scott and Ruth Northcutt.  Devotion in Motion was led by Emily Brown.  Paul and Nanette Klinect and their family returned to lead the children and youth programs.  Start making plans for our 2014 Retreat, which will begin on October 9 and end on October 12.  Our speakers will be Bishop Alex McCullough and Pastor John D. Reese, III.  There are details on the Flyer page.

This is a family retreat. Comfortable lodging and three daily meals are provided. There is a daily program to include periods of fun, learning, meditation, sharing, praying, and rest. It is a time apart from the cares and problems of the world, a time for God to minister to us right where we are; a weekend of Kingdom living. The retreat is lay-oriented, inter-denominational, and centered on Jesus. Each retreat is an opportunity to make new friends and renew old friendships.

We have several financial assistance scholarship opportunities available for the 2014 Retreat.  There is a Kingdom Scholarship Fund available to help campers who may need financial assistance.  Click here to access the form to apply for scholarship assistance.
